The run's always been my strongest discipline. So this block isn't about making it better, it's about not letting it slip while everything else gets the volume.
Bike's had up to ten hours a week. Swim's up to 10km. Plus strength and conditioning, plus recovery. The run had to fit in around all of that, not fight it for space.
Keeping it quiet, keeping it consistent
So most of it's been easy, zone 2 / LT1 pace. Nothing flashy, but it keeps the aerobic engine and the running economy ticking over without adding fatigue I can't afford right now. One session a week has strides in it, just enough to remind my legs what fast feels like and stop the top end disappearing completely.
Five runs a week, 45-50km. Not big numbers. Just consistent ones.
You don't always need to build the thing that's already working. Sometimes the job is just making sure it's still there when you need it. The weapon's still sharp.
